Curly Hair

Curly hair is prone to dryness, brittleness, frizzing and is very fragile and requires much care to enhance its condition. To minimise breakage try letting your hair dry naturally as much as possible and style when completely dry.

Do not be tempted to brush your curls as this creates friction in the hair and will leave your hair just one big mass of frizz. Instead use your fingers to detangle curls and finish with a wide-toothed comb.

Try to limit shampooing to two-three times per week as each shampoo application strips your hair of its natural oils which leads to dryness. Ensure you use a shampoo and conditioner specifically for curly hair as this will boost moisture levels.

Use a deep conditioning treatment once a month to remoisturise your scalp and hair. Apply a small amount of styling product to combat frizziness while your hair is still slightly moist and gently style with your hands.
